Rules and Regulations

  1. Team check in and practice is from 10:30-11:00 am. At 11:00 there will be a reading of the rules and games will begin.

  2. A team has 5 minutes to report to their respective court when called. Failure to report in that time will result in a forfeit of the match.

  3. A coin toss will take place prior to each match. The winner of the coin toss has the option to either throw first or second or to choose which side of the boards their team will throw.

  4. Team members must be directly across from their partner when throwing (no crisscross.)

  5. The pitcher must remain behind the front of the board during the entire address and release of the corn bag.

  6. Any corn bag that leaves a contestant’s hand once the final forward swing of the delivery process has started shall count as a pitched corn bag. A corn bag that is accidentally dropped by a contestant before the final forward swing has started shall not be considered foul and may be picked up and pitched.

  7. The first side of players alternate pitching corn bags until they have thrown all 4 bags. The frame is then scored. Then the remaining players alternate pitching from the other corn hole board.

  8. Cancellation scoring will be used.

  9. 3 points will be scored for a bag in the hole, 1 point will be scored for a bag on the board.

  10. The team that scored in the preceding frame shall pitch first in the next frame.

  11. First team to meet or exceed 21 points wins.

  12. A contestant’s corn bag shall be called foul if the contestant removes any bag before the scoring of that corn bag has been agreed upon. If a decision cannot be reached by the playing teams, a judge shall be called to determine the scoring for that frame.

  13. Any corn bag that contacted the ground before coming to rest on a board or is touching the ground in any way shall be called foul and immediately removed from the board before another corn bag is pitched.

  14. Officials have final say.

  15. Both teams are responsible for getting game result cards to the head scorer’s table.
